Dallas Arboretum

The other week the girls and I were able to go to the Dallas Arboretum with the other Pead's that live in Texas, Jake & Nicole! Since moving here we have loved hanging out with them! And Ryan loves to play with Gavin! She wakes up everyday asking if they can play! So going to the Arboretum was an extra plus for everyone! The gardens were beautiful, we had a great picnic lunch on the softest grass I have ever felt, and we ran through the fountain area until everyone got a little wet!!

Of course my girls LOVE to play in dirt, sand, & gravel! So it's only natural that would sit down and play here!

Here is a great pic of the Mya! She really enjoyed playing in the water! Thanks to Jake for getting wet so Mya & Owen could have fun touching the water!!

This was a very beautiful walkway! It was a challenge to get all of the kids to look in the same direction!

At the end the had this little village of houses that the kids could go into and play! We all had a great time! Thanks Nicole & Jake!!

Blue Bonnets

We had a friend call us and invite us to go and see the Blue Bonnets. Well not being from Texas I had no idea what they were. I was thinking hats or ice cream, but I know the good ice cream is Blue Bell. But turns out they are the Texas State Flower. So we went to an old cemetary on a hill and it was covered in the flowers. We had fun running around and watching out for the ant piles. This is looking up the hill at the cemetary. I was laughing because the cemetary is called Zion's Cemetary. But this cemetary was established in 1840's and it was cool to walk around and look at the old headstones.

This is Ryan's friend Maddison and poor girl kept stepping on the ant piles! Not fun!!
Here is a picture of the girls trying to smile nicely for me. Mya was scared to put her left foot down while sitting on the ground. She held it up the whole time!
