Happy Halloween!

Here is our cute little Alice in Wonderland & Mean Witch. Mya could not make up her mind on what she wanted to be, she would change her mind every hour. Finally we had her talked into the witch, but she had to make sure we knew she was a MEAN witch!!
Ryan and I found this costume last year at Target after the Holidays. It was so cute and lucky for me Ryan doesn't change her mind. She loved being Alice!

When all is Quite

So for those of you with kids you know that if they are really quite, they are into something. Well Mya likes to wake up early and she usually wakes someone up or goes and play's with toys, but we can hear her.

One day Kirk woke up to this scene in the bathroom! Mya had opened one of the cabinets and found some makeup! Luckily it was not makeup I use, except for Halloween time! She made herself so beautiful! I especially love how she did not want to miss the eyebrows!

Doesn't she look pretty?

Hiking the Y

We went back to Utah in June to visit our family and friends and had so much fun! We stayed with our friends the Seamons for a few days and decided one night to hike the Y!

I was so impressed by Ryan and Brynley! Brynley hiked it the whole way by herself!!! It is not an easy hike, but Brynley really impressed me! Ryan did pretty good too. She had to be carried twice just up two hills and poor Reed carried her even though he was not feeling good!

Here are the three girls sitting at the top! It was so fun and we miss our friends so much!! Glad we can always go and visit them!!

Getting to know Texas

Since moving to Texas we have decided to be major tourists and see the different things here! So on Saturday we decided to go to the old Log Cabins that show what life would have been like living here in the olden days. It may have not been very fun for the girls, so at least we can say we did it! Ryan was scared of going into the log cabins because they were very dark and a little spooky.

But everyone got a chance to ring the old school bell and Mya didn't want to stop! She loved it, maybe because it was noisy like her!

There was also a kids cabin that they could touch EVERYTHING!! Kid's dreams coming true! So we saw everything in that cabin & had lots of fun!

Ryan had fun finding the eggs in the chicken coupe and playing with the old toys.

Mya found this doll, the bed for it, and a rocking chair that was just her size! She LOVED it! She would have stayed and played for hours if we let her!

It was a fun to see something different!

Dallas Arboretum

The other week the girls and I were able to go to the Dallas Arboretum with the other Pead's that live in Texas, Jake & Nicole! Since moving here we have loved hanging out with them! And Ryan loves to play with Gavin! She wakes up everyday asking if they can play! So going to the Arboretum was an extra plus for everyone! The gardens were beautiful, we had a great picnic lunch on the softest grass I have ever felt, and we ran through the fountain area until everyone got a little wet!!

Of course my girls LOVE to play in dirt, sand, & gravel! So it's only natural that would sit down and play here!

Here is a great pic of the Mya! She really enjoyed playing in the water! Thanks to Jake for getting wet so Mya & Owen could have fun touching the water!!

This was a very beautiful walkway! It was a challenge to get all of the kids to look in the same direction!

At the end the had this little village of houses that the kids could go into and play! We all had a great time! Thanks Nicole & Jake!!

Blue Bonnets

We had a friend call us and invite us to go and see the Blue Bonnets. Well not being from Texas I had no idea what they were. I was thinking hats or ice cream, but I know the good ice cream is Blue Bell. But turns out they are the Texas State Flower. So we went to an old cemetary on a hill and it was covered in the flowers. We had fun running around and watching out for the ant piles. This is looking up the hill at the cemetary. I was laughing because the cemetary is called Zion's Cemetary. But this cemetary was established in 1840's and it was cool to walk around and look at the old headstones.

This is Ryan's friend Maddison and poor girl kept stepping on the ant piles! Not fun!!
Here is a picture of the girls trying to smile nicely for me. Mya was scared to put her left foot down while sitting on the ground. She held it up the whole time!

Great Friends!

Ryan & Brynley have been friends ever since they were babies! Here is a picture of them when they were really little playing together.
Well the other weekend we had friends over late playing games and had the girls go downstairs to watch a movie. When we were done playing games, this is how we found these two. Snuggled up to each other sleeping!!
We are really going to miss playing with Brynley!!!

Big Changes!

We are sadly saying goodbye to our family and friends! We are moving out of Utah to....

We are going to see if "the stars at night are big in bright..."!

We are really sad to be leaving Kirk's family and our friends! We have loved living in our neighborhood and have made a lot of good friends!!! We will also miss going over to Kirk's parents house every Sunday to kick it with our awesome family that lives near by!! Changes are always hard, but I guess they are a part of life!!
